Heroes animated mood theme
Here's a S1 animated "Heroes" mood theme (which I made ages ago and I'm finally posting now, yay me).
All the animated icons posted here are specifically created for the mood theme so they can't be used as LJ user icons (they are bigger than LJ's 40 Kb limit). I will post the "optimized for LJ" version of all the animated gifs later (it will take me some time to code that post)...
Snatch if you want to, just remember to credit paddies.
The following explanations on installing your Mood Theme belong to crackified:
Free accounts
1. Download the zip file for the mood theme you want, and unzip it in winzip or a similar program.
2. Then upload the 132 mood images to your domain, or an image hosting site like Photobucket. Do not change the file names. If the file names are changed, then this will not work.
4. Using the replace tool, replace "http://www.hosting.com/" with the url to the folder that stores the images on your domain, or the photobucket album. Make sure you select "replace all", and that it does it for every line. Also, make sure that there is a / between your url and the mood.
5. Now, save the file somewhere that's easily accessible, as you'll need to pull it up every time you make an LJ entry.
6. When you're ready to make an entry, open the file. Before you start typing the entry, figure out what mood you want to use for this entry, and then paste in the corresponding line into the top of your entry. If you want to specify music for this entry, then type that in between the | and ]. If not, delete the second line. Press your enter button a couple times, and then type in your entry. Do not fill in the "mood" or "music" text boxes. If you do, then it will look like you entered them in twice. To see a screencap of what your formatting should look like now, click here.
Your entry should look like this once it's posted:
"[mood| grateful] [music|KT Tunstall - Hold On]
Blah blah blah"
If not, go through the steps again.
7. Please make sure to credit paddies in your info if you do use this mood theme.
That's all!

If you can, I'd suggest using the admin console. While the custom mood editor is nice in theory, it is very temperamental, and freezes your browser while it registers every image. But, if you're very patient, that might work for you. Otherwise, try the admin console first. It's not nearly as complicated as it looks.
Using the Admin Console
1. Download the zip file for the mood theme you want, and unzip it in winzip or a similar program.
2. Then upload the 132 mood images to your domain, or an image hosting site like Photobucket. Do not change the file names.
moodtheme_create "Title of Theme" "Short Description of Theme"
Of course, replace the "Title of Theme" and "Short Description of Theme" text with the title and description. They can be anything you want, as long as you remember the title, because you'll need it for later. Once you're done, click "execute". If you're successful, the console will give you a number. Copy down this number!
5. Now, back in the zip file, open the "adminconsolecodes.txt" file. Using the "replace" tool in your notepad program, replace the 12345 number with the number the console gave you previously. Also replace the "http://www.hosting.com/" url with the url to the folder that stores the images on your domain, or the photobucket album.
6. Now, paste in the edited codes into the admin console, and click execute. You should be directed to a page with your accepted codes. If not, go back and re-do the steps again.
7. Now go to your modify journal page. Choose the "look and feel" option and underneath "Mood Icons" use the drop down to find your new theme. Save changes.
And you're done! Your theme should now be up on your LJ.
Using the Custom Mood Theme Editor
1. Download the zip file for the mood theme you want, and unzip it in winzip or a similar program.
2. Upload the 132 mood images to your domain, or an image hosting site like Photobucket. Do not change the file names.
3. Go here. Underneath "Create a New Theme", enter in the name of the mood theme you are about to upload. Click the create button.
2. Now you need to use the URLs of the mood images that you uploaded earlier. Enter in the appropriate URL for each mood section. Make sure that the height and width for each mood image is entered and correct, otherwise that mood will not be saved. When you're done, click on Save Changes at the bottom. And you're done!
3. Now go to your modify journal page. Scroll down to the bottom, and underneath "Mood Icons" use the drop down to find your new theme. Save changes, and your mood theme should be up on your LiveJournal.
I do suggest you go to crackified if you have any problems with installing the moods for paid accounts. She knows more about it then I do. Hope you enjoy.
Finally, many thanks to url_girl for helping me choose the right icon for the right mood...choices are hard, yo. ;-)
